The 2023 World Art EXPO in Seoul was held on the 9^th of February.

Artist Joo Woon-hang, who works as a contract artist of JW Art Gallery, was invited to World Art EXPO in Seoul 2023, which announced its first official opening in the same year.

Joo Woon-hang, who is actively working as a senior painter in the Korean painting industry, graduated from the Department of Art Education at Gyeongin National University of Education in 1988. He has established his own firm territory through ‘The Spring of Consciousness’ series with non-stop consideration and curiosity about 'human consciousness energy'. 

He has won numerous awards at the Korea Art Competition and the Gyeonggi Art Competition from his early days. Since then, he has worked as a judge of a number of art competitions and as a director of the Western Painting Division of the Korean Art Association branch, making remarkable contributions to the art scene and community, in general.

In particular, he participated in several invitational and group exhibitions in recognition of his works at leading overseas exhibitions and galleries. As such, Joo Woon-hang has been recognized domestically and internationally at the same time. Recently, he was invited to World Art EXPO in Seoul 2023 hosted by the Korean Committee of the International Association of Art and supervised by World Art EXPO in Seoul Steering Committee. 

Lee Ji-soo, art director of JW Art Gallery, who is in charge of planning his special exhibition, said, "As this is the first large-scale art and culture event to be held this year, we will do our best to show the fundamental message that artist Joo Woon-hang wants to express as much as possible so that the audience can approach it in a friendly way."

<The Most Beautiful Days in your Life> exhibition by artist Jo Min-Young has been held at JW Art Gallery since October 12^th. This is awesome news for people who want to enjoy the arts fitting in this clear and beautiful weather like these days.

Jo Min-young, widely known as a painter of abandoned dogs, graduated from the Department of Oriental Painting at Hongik University. Besides, she flew to France to major in art at Saint- Étienne. She hasn't painted for a while, but her passion for painting has always been in her heart. After returning to Korea, she started drawing abandoned dogs by chance.

Most of all, this exhibition reflects the intentions of art director Lee Ji-soo. She has a long-term friendship with Jo Min-young. She has been a supporter who has been taking care of her. Also, she has encouraged her to focus on painting. As a matter of fact, art director Lee Ji-soo emphasizes that, as the title of <The Most Beautiful Days in your Life> implies, the most beautiful days are not the outward appearance, but the inner power. Moments of happiness don't last long, and neither does sadness. She explains that life is but a dream, so you have to be humble.

She made an art director's notes, and there is this phrase: “The supreme and blooming time of my life. ‘The Most Beautiful Days in your Life’ is a series of falling blossoms and full-blooming, and the journey of life is fleeting in the inevitable existence of myself. In this way, the narratives of all living beings who are rambling in the garden are completely melted in this exhibition. It not only delivers a message about human dignity to the audience but also reminds us of the preciousness of living objects.

JW Art Gallery has held the first solo exhibition of the exclusive artist Jo Min-Young, and planned various lifestyle accessories such as cushion covers and blankets with the motif of her work of art, at the same time. The 6^th ‘Gwangmyeong Cave Wine Festival’, which Gwangmyeong Urban Innovation Corporation and Gwangmyeong Cave organization ended on October 3^rd with a success. 

For 4 days from September 30^th, this event will be held at Gwangmyeong Cave Light Square in Gwangmyeong city. During this period, the Gwangmyeong Cave organization operates 164 domestic wines while operating 28 businesses nationwide.

It was very meaningful because it was the first event held in three years since the COVID-19 pandemic situation, and wineries from all over the country gathered under the theme of ‘Finding the light of Korean wine’. Regarding his painting, it is rare to see his works nowadays. That was painted in his early era. Now, he is famous for the Apple Series but this time, we could find that he has something else such as a duck swimming in dark colors. The gold medal went to Jo Min-young's 'Toi', which was attached to the ‘Chusa 40 Brandy’ of Yesan Apple Wine (Yesan), and the silver prize was Park Jong-sung's '21_06-Hwangmae', which was attached to the Gran Cotto red wine from Green Farm (Ansan).

The ‘Gwangmyeong Cave Wine Festival’ hosted by Gwangmyeong Urban Innovation Corporation and Gwangmyeong Cave organization will be held from September 30^th to October 3^rd at Gwangmyeong Cave located in Gwangmyeong-si, Gyeonggi-do.
