2021 Seoul Art Show
The ‘2021 Seoul Art Show’, the largest art market art festival in Korea hosted by the Seoul Art Show Committee, was held from December 22st to December 26th at COEX Hall A.
The Seoul Art Show celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2022 as an event to showcase various works from 150 domestic and foreign galleries, originality of Korean art, flash art, installation art exhibition, and Seoul Art Show invitation exhibition.
JW Art Gallery participated in the show and introduced artist Choi, Sung-won’s paintings. It was the first time to join the event and JW team created a different atmosphere by making a mini-exhibition. It was unlikely to bring up for the show compared to other galleries. The visitors all applauded and threw their attention.
The artist, Choi, Sung-won, has tried to go through breaking down the boundary between brightness and darkness for a long time while he has been painting. He finally figured out what it was out of endless hard work and it was the tusche as for shadow. Therefore, the dark is an infinite location of the new beginning and it has a depth of inner space.
