After graduating from the Department of Oriental Painting at Hongik University in 1991, Artist JO, MIN-YOUNG flew to France and graduated from École des Beaux-Arts in ST. Etienne. Since then, she spent her 30s and 40s there. After she came back to Korea, she painted and also completed an illustrated book, which is titled <Lost Walk>. It is a postcard-sized book and every piece is painted with acrylic oil. The book is about abandoned dogs. As she has sympathy for them, she has painted them delicately with emotions.

On the other hand, she used to run a restaurant with a passion for French cooking but is currently concentrating on only her work in the studio in Ganghwa-do. Artist Jo Min-young, who is famous for painting abandoned dogs, is renowned for fascinating portraits nowadays. Especially, women in the painting expressed with hazy expressions and blurred lines are stunning.
